“Toys are the children’s words & play is their language.”

WHAT IS PLAY THERAPY?

Play therapy is a powerful, evidence-based method to connect with the creative, non-verbal aspects of children and work therapeutically with them.

Play therapy allows children to grow and develop. It helps them express their thoughts and feelings, regulates their behaviour, and helps them to practice and master new skills.

WHY PLAY THERAPY?

Play is the natural language of children.

It can be difficult for children to express their thoughts and emotions verbally. When we provide the safety, time, and space for children to play, they can comfortably express their inner world using symbolic language.

Each therapy session provides the opportunity for your child to safely share their needs, wants, and wishes while developing alternative coping skills and strategies.
